Eddie Raines is a 49-year-old man from Iowa City who has recently discovered a love for making jewelry. His first creative passion, however, is the saxophone which he has been playing for thirty years and has been a key element for his emotional well being. “I love the feeling of generating energy internally and sharing that energy with a crowd.” In spite of recent challenges with PTSD and depression, Eddie is enthused about his employment search in the area of sales/customer service. He has a long-term goal to go to Kirkwood Community College to study the field of advocacy. But being creative is something he knows is an important outlet of expression, and he plans to market his skills as a saxophonist and become more proficient with jewelry-making.
